You also must setup each device to be static (both PCs and the roboRIO are DHCP by default). You also run into problems when ANYTHING deviates from the static settings. You'll also need to be fully aware of the DHCP range to avoid setting any IPs in that range to avoid potential IP conflicts. For one, you've already listed a need for the IP table. I'd actually argue going static adds several layers of complexity that add to debugging. Most that like static have had issues with the DHCP and try to avoid it at all costs.

Using java to program the robot and deployed the code via USB. We've tried rebooting the computer, as well as re-uploading the code directly to the rio, neither one of which has worked. UPDATE: The robot is now communicating with the driver station, but it's not accepting the code that we've deployed. I have the OM5P-AC radio flashed and the rio imaged with the correct team number.

I'm at a loss as to what the hell could be causing this. I have turned the firewall back on and I am still receiving the same error. I have tried turning off the firewall, and that generated the error code -44019 mDNS slow to respond: check firewall settings.

I am able to reach the rio when it's connected via USB, though I cannot reach it when I am connected to the radio. Rules are interpreted and applied by the moderation staff, and decisions made are final.Īs the title implies, my robot is not communicating with the driver station and I can't figure out exactly what is causing the lack of communication.Refrain from making posts or comments of a political nature.Be respectful and appropriate to all other members of this sub-reddit.All posts must be directly related to FRC or other FIRST programs. No donation posts ( with notable exceptions). Each season ends with an exciting FIRST Championship.” Rules

Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. High-school student participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.” Under strict rules, limited resources, and an intense six-week time limit, teams of 20 or more students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. From FIRST’s website “We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind. Welcome to the sub-reddit for the international First Robotics Competition (FRC).
